His contract with the BR-BOE runs from September 1, 2014 through June 30, 2018, at a starting annual base salary of $171,279, together with the full range of benefits that accompanies this position.  Signed this evening, the contract provides for his base pay to increase to $177,500 in the last year of his term.  According to state law, his salary is capped.

He entered the teaching profession “in 1999 when he began teaching at William Paterson University,” and “was part of the leadership teams at Saint Dominic Academy in Jersey City and the North Caldwell Public School District, before landing in Pequannock Township in 2011.”  He also served as “a Board Member and President for the Wayne Board of Education.”

He is a graduate of “the Harvard University Graduate School of Education Leadership Institute for Superintendents” and is certified in School Finance and Operations.  He earned “a Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from Seton Hall University,” and “an MBA in Finance” as well as “a Bachelor’s degree in Management from William Paterson University.
