This afternoon, writers for the Boston Globe clarified earlier reports that Boston Bomber suspect, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, had been buried in an undisclosed site “somewhere outside Worcester,” Massachusetts.

As it turns out, it was outside of Worcester – way outside!  The Globe disclosed this afternoon that Tsarnaev’s remains which had been lingering in a Worcester funeral home for days were secretly transferred and buried in a small Muslim cemetery in Doswell, Virginia, a tiny crossroads near Richmond, the state’s Capital.

Martha Mullen, a Virginia resident who has been following news reports, compassionately contacted Islamic organizations in Virginia.

According to the Globe, she “reached out to the Islamic Funeral Services of Virginia,” which “coordinated the body’s secret transfer Wednesday night.  Tsarnaev found his final resting place in the Al-Barzakh Cemetery in Doswell.

This may finally signal the end of the national controversy over where to bury Tsarnaev’s remains.  Yet, Caroline County, Virginia, officials were not advised beforehand and “were stunned” to discover what happened.  The Globe quotes County Sheriff Tony Lippa Jr. as saying that further action, if any “would be determined by the law.”
